Site Based Council

Como Elementary School’s SBC consisted of the principal, a community member, the PTA president, a paraprofessional, Como’s Faculty Rep./K teacher , a Special Needs teacher, and an intermediate teacher. We started our school year by analyzing and discussing the student and parent surveys from the 2015-16 school year. Ideas were shared as to how to increase parent involvement and build community partnerships. Our focus for next school year is to continue to increase parent environment and seek to gain more community partners who are willing to help our school through volunteer services, donations, and participation in our school’s BLT. Our objective is to provide our students with optimal educational opportunities and experiences while providing a nurturing community of support.
